1/1/26 Update from McDonald Law Taking the Firearms Act to Court

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Since launching this campaign, a growing number of Australians have stepped up to support a serious legal challenge to the NSW firearms reforms. However, we have not yet reached our funding goal. Just over 2000 people have contributed that is just over 1% of all firearms owners according to the membership of the SSAA. To take this matter to the highest court in the country and properly challenge these laws, we need significantly more funds. This is not a symbolic fight. It requires senior counsel, expert preparation, and a case built to withstand the toughest judicial scrutiny. Sitting back is not an option. The government has made its intent clear. If you want to keep your firearms and preserve lawful ownership, this is the moment to act. Otherwise in time you will steadily be deprived of your sport and profession. If you can donate or share the link, it makes a real difference. Thank you to those who have decided to stand up and be counted. The rest need to invest in something more than entitlement and expecting someone else will protect their privilege to hold a firearms licence.
