FX Impact Integrated Harmonic Barrel Tuner Shroud
This FX Barrel Tuner Shroud provides you with the opportunity to harmonically tune your barrel perfectly. This means the oscillating movement of the barrel can be altered. By changing this vibration frequency, the accuracy can be improved significantly. Previously, this could only be done indirectly by experimenting with the velocity of the pellets or slugs, but with the FX Barrel Tuner Shroud, the barrel itself can be tuned.
There are no exact calculations to tune a barrel harmonically, but the FX Barrel Tuner Shroud lets you alter the oscillating movement to be in perfect balance with the pellet or slug of your choice. The shroud -which has a dampening function of its own- features an adjustable weight at the muzzle end, that can be varied in position by turning it. This is an empirical process, where you’ll find the sweet spot where the groups get really small by just trying step by step. When you get really tight grouping, it’s a sign the barrel harmonics are in tune with the chosen projectile. The marks on the FX Barrel Tuner Shroud help you to find back your favorite adjustment.
The length of the shroud is selected based on the length of your barrel, which can be 500 mm (compact) 600 mm (Standard), or 700 mm (Sniper).
Note:
The harmonic barrel tuner is not compatible with the UK compact impact version impact with a 500 mm barrel and a 480 cc bottle as they will touch each other. You would need to change the 480 cc bottle into a 300 cc bottle like on the international models to fit the harmonic barrel tuner.
